- A shortage of domestic food.
- 50 years ago 75% of all Americans were farmers. Now less than 1% is involved in producing our food and the number gets smaller annually. I believe it behooves the 99% of us to support the 1% of us for health, safety, and homeland security reasons. As of about 3 years ago we are now importing more food than we are exporting and this balance, if unchecked, is only going to get worse annually until we are at the mercy of other countries and terrorists. 46% of of Americans have less than a 3 day supply of food in their homes and 85% of all of our seafood is imported.
