  • The Michigan Walk of Fame is the nation's most comprehensive, state-wide citizen recognition program. Dedicated to honoring the ingenuity and resourcefulness of residents, past or present, the Michigan Walk of Fame honors individuals who have made significant state, national or global contributions. Located in downtown Lansing, honorees are recognized with bronze sidewalk plaques and Web site biographies. Only twelve individuals are inducted annually. Learn of the simple challenge that led to the creation of this incredible program, the ease of the state-wide nomination system, intricacies of the judging process, and the physical challenges associated with installing the plaques in an historic district. Inductees include President Gerald R. Ford, Stevie Wonder, Gordie Howe and W.K. Kellogg.
