- A brief overview of the diverse and amazing history of this small and largely forgotten community.
- An overview of the roots and influences of 3 1/2 centuries of theology that has had its effect upon several modern day Christian denominations. The 100 years at Benton Harbor has yielded an amazing story that features our community as America's third oldest practicing Christian community; a base ball team that beat the St. Louis Cardinals in 1933; a group that invented the automatic pin-setter for bowling and the original sugar, waffled ice cream cone. Once the economic power in SW Michigan in agriculture and tourism, the community has a long history of economic networking with the communities surrounding and has survived a 105 year journey that saw a bitter internal struggle and division along with a crucial legal battle with the State of Michigan that sought to bring it to an end. There will also be a final word on today's community, its restorations and looking forward to its 11th year as a growing museum/tours and events destination.
- Special needs and equipment: Monday through Friday (no breakfast clubs), I have slides, I only need a screen, table for projector and power cord to outlet. My most convenient time frames are November through mid December: March through the first week of June. Agricultural, maintenance and Museum responsibilities begin in May - June and end in November. Winter travel and I are not compatible and I also operate the snow plow for the community.
