Grant Requests Approved
The Rotary District 6360 Foundation approved grant requests from nine clubs in the amount of $17,500 at its December meeting. Clubs applied for funding from the Foster Fund. The Foster Fund was established to recognize the dedication, effort and leadership of PDG Ed Foster and retired District Administrator Linda Foster. The Foster Fund was funded through donations from Clubs and individual Rotarians. In addition to the $7,273 from the Foster Fund $10,227 was allocated from the RD6360 Foundation unrestricted fund to complete the funding for the approved grant requests.
The unrestricted fund is mainly funded by the RD6360 Foundation past raffle proceeds and donations. The Foster Fund has now been depleted and will no longer be available for grants. Thanks to a very successful 2017 RD 6360 Raffle last October adequate resources are available for funding “Sandelin Grants” next spring. Watch for a revised grant application in the coming months. The “Sandelin” application deadline will be May 31, 2018.
