The Origin of the Rotary Club Heroes Recognition
Past District 6360 Governor Kathleen Tosco initiated the tradition of honoring our Rotary Club Heroes at her District Conference in 2010. She was inspired by Roger Cram’s eloquent thoughts on “What Makes A Hero?” after completing a fifteen-year journey walking with world heroes of peace. Roger Cram presented some of his findings as the opening speaker for the Rotary World Peace Summit held in Windsor, Ontario in April of 2008 and has presented workshops to the Department of Defense and the United States Air Force. Cram has appeared in “People Magazine,” on “Good Morning America,” “CNN News,” and the “Discovery Channel.”
